Application

Floor renovation & old slabs

Dusting, worn concrete and a production schedule that cannot stop for weeks. Penetrating hardeners and primers rebuild the surface without tearing the plant apart.

What this floor has to withstand

Understand the failure mode before choosing a system.

  1. 01

Dusting concrete coats products, machinery and air filters — and it gets worse every year.

  2. 02

The schedule cannot stop for weeks — the floor has to come back between shifts.

  3. 03

Old coatings, oils and contamination decide what the new system can bond to.

  4. 04

Budgets differ per zone — one factory rarely needs one solution everywhere.

Recommended coating systems

Selected by duty — there is no universal system, only the one that fits.

01

Sealed & densified floor (no coating)

Build-up
Grind off the weak layer → densifier reacts inside the slab → progressive polish

For dusting, worn slabs that must return to service fast: nothing to peel, low cost per square metre, long service life.

Standard application sequence

The same floor with the same materials can last years longer when the work is carried out carefully. The six steps below are our standard sequence for epoxy floors: what each step does, to what standard, and what we check on handover. For your workshop we fine-tune the number of layers and the thickness to the actual loads, chemicals and shutdown window.

  1. 01

    Substrate assessment

Bond, contamination and moisture checks decide which renovation route is viable. The assessment decides between a resurfacing route and a full rebuild — pricing and schedule follow from it.

  2. 02

    Removal & repair

Failed coatings and loose material ground off; cracks and holes repaired. After stripping, strength is re-tested; areas still short go deeper.

  3. 03

    Densifier route

Penetration, reaction and progressive polishing bring the slab back harder than new. For dusting floors this route is preferred — no added film, the slab itself is hardened.

  4. 04

    Coating route

Penetrating primer, build-up and a new topcoat matched to the zone duty. Renovation coatings lean on primer penetration; fast-absorbing areas take a double primer.

  5. 05

    Phased return to service

Zones come back between shifts; production barely notices. Before each zone returns, a clean-down and protection briefing prevents cross-scratching.

Representative projects

A selection of projects delivered by the group.

  • Automotive paint-shop renovation

Renovating a live paint shop is a scheduling problem before it is a flooring one. For automotive clients including FAW, SAIC, Dongfeng, Beijing Benz, Geely, BYD, XPeng and NIO, we strip and re-lay floors zone by zone inside the owner's maintenance windows while the rest of the shop keeps producing.

  • Pharmaceutical workshop renewal without shutdown

For clients such as Shineway Pharmaceutical, Huahai Pharmaceutical and Xinhua Pharmaceutical we have renewed workshop floors without stopping production: zoning, dust containment and low-odour solvent-free materials keep the clean areas clean while we work next door.

  • Residential garage refurbishment

Older residential garages fail at the joints, the ramps and the oily bays first. On projects such as China Merchants' Cuican Mansion and the Xipai Jingyue development we renew traffic lanes and bays in phases, keeping half the garage usable throughout.

Common questions

What buyers ask most when specifying a floor coating.

Our floor is dusting badly. Densifier or coating?

If you need a hard, dust-free concrete surface and speed, densify. If you need colour, chemical resistance or washability, coat it — often both routes combine zone by zone.

Learn more
Can we avoid tearing out the old floor?

Usually yes. As long as the slab is structurally sound, the new system goes over it after grinding and repair — no demolition.

Learn more
How fast can we get back to work?

Densified areas come back within days; coated zones follow the curing plan. Everything is phased so shifts keep running.

Learn more
The old coating is still sticking in places — can it stay?

Possibly — adhesion testing decides. Sound, well-bonded areas can stay and be bridged; failing areas must go, or they will drag the new system down with them.
