Application

Logistics & cold chain

Heavy racking loads and repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Joint detailing matters as much as the coating itself.

What this floor has to withstand

Understand the failure mode before choosing a system.

  1. 01

Racking leg loads concentrate in tiny footprints; the surface has to take them without dusting or cracking.

  2. 02

Freeze-thaw cycles in cold-chain zones destroy coatings that were never chosen for low temperature.

  3. 03

Expansion joints take the movement — if they fail, everything above them fails too.

  4. 04

A warehouse cannot stop moving for a floor renovation.

Recommended coating systems

Selected by duty — there is no universal system, only the one that fits.

01

Sealed & densified concrete floor

Build-up
Grinding → densifier penetration → progressive polishing to the desired finish

No coating to peel: the hardener reacts inside the slab, so heavy racking, dusting and freeze-thaw are handled at the material level. The workhorse for large warehouses.

Products in this system

Standard application sequence

The same floor with the same materials can last years longer when the work is carried out carefully. The six steps below are our standard sequence for epoxy floors: what each step does, to what standard, and what we check on handover. For your workshop we fine-tune the number of layers and the thickness to the actual loads, chemicals and shutdown window.

  1. 01

    Assessment

Slab condition, loads and temperature zones mapped before any recommendation. The survey covers racking leg pressures, forklift routes and cold-zone extents, and ends in a zoned plan drawing.

  2. 02

    Densifier route

Grind open the surface, let the densifier react inside, then polish progressively. The slab is kept wet while the densifier reacts, then polished step by step to the target gloss.

  3. 03

    Coating route

Primer, self-levelling and topcoat applied zone by zone while racking stays loaded. Aisles are closed in rotation, cleaned the same night and handed back next day, so the warehouse never stops.

  4. 04

    Joint detailing

Movement joints repaired, filled or re-sealed so racking loads and traffic do not chew the edges. After repair, edges are protected along the traffic direction to extend joint life.

Densified warehouse floor

Polished concrete holding up under racking and traffic without any coating to maintain.

Dock & picking lines

Coated, marked and washed — the working heart of the warehouse.

Cold-chain interface

Polyurethane finish at the temperature transition, selected for freeze-thaw duty.

Representative projects

A selection of projects delivered by the group.

  • AGV-driven logistics floors, Zoomlion Yuanjiang

    100,000 m²

At the Yuanjiang mixer-truck plant, AGVs handle material flow across 100,000 m². Because AGVs steer by floor flatness and guide lines, flatness was controlled as a specification of its own and the surface was line-marked to the logistics layout.

  • Heavy-duty logistics lanes, Zoomlion Changde

    200,000 m²

In the 200,000 m² Changde construction-machinery plant, the busiest logistics lanes carry the heaviest loads. Those lanes were built with thickened screeds so the aisle floor does not rut or deform under repeated forklift traffic.

Common questions

What buyers ask most when specifying a floor coating.

Coating or densifier for our warehouse?

Dry, unheated, big-footprint storage usually wins with densifier. If you need marking, washing or bright finish, coat those zones and densify the rest.

Learn more
Will it survive the cold store?

Only if the system was selected for low temperature. Polyurethane systems and densified concrete tolerate freeze-thaw; standard epoxy does not belong there.

Learn more
Can we renovate without emptying the racking?

Yes — work is zoned along the aisles, so only the aisle being worked is closed; racking stays loaded and picking continues elsewhere.

Learn more
The joints keep breaking — can you fix that?

Joint detailing is part of the programme: repair, semi-rigid fill and edge protection so traffic stops chewing the arrises.
